Join us for a conversation with three Columbia's Obama Foundation Scholars whose leadership advances education and youth empowerment in Romania, Uganda and Ukraine. 

Speakers: 
Adriana Preda, Chief Executive Officer, The Social Incubator (Romania)
Adriana supports vulnerable and orphaned children and youth across Romania through social, educational and professional development opportunities to ensure successful transition out of institutional care. 

Samson Wambuzi, Co-Founder and Chief Innovations Officer, Yiya Solutions (Uganda)
Samson's work focuses on providing equitable access to skills-based education to youth in rural communities across Uganda. 

Oksana Matiiash, Chief Executive Officer, Teach for Ukraine
Oksana leads an organization that provides essential psycho-social and learning support to children in war-torn Ukraine. 

About the Obama Foundation Scholars Program
The Obama Foundation Scholars Program at Columbia University brings together rising leaders from the United States and around the world who have demonstrated a commitment to finding solutions to challenges in their communities and countries. Scholars complete a fully-funded 9-month residency on campus at Columbia World Projects, deepening their knowledge and skills, and building new capacities and networks to accelerate their impact.
