Interested in pursuing an internship in NYC government or philanthropy in NYC? Join USP for a conversation on your internship search. We will be joined by Second year students to share their experience and advice on pursuing an internship this summer. This will be an excellent opportunity for those interested in local government or public service, but unsure of where you will fit in best.

Alex Yellin is a 2nd year Urban Policy student and Program Assistant for the U.S. Specialization. Last summer, she worked on the Project Management Team in the Mayor's Office of Operations. Her portfolio of projects spanned the DOE, Census Team, NYPD, and Civic Engagement Commission.

Joao Melhado is a 2nd year Urban Policy student who spent last summer working at the NYC Small Business Department. He was an interim program manager for the N360 Fellows Program and then conducted a program evaluation for it.

Kevin Karl is a 2nd year USP student who spent last summer working as an Associate for the Rockefeller Foundation's Food Initiative. He helped develop strategy for the foundation's U.S.-based food and nutrition portfolio.

Hilary Hamm is a 2nd year USP student who spent her previous summer working as a Policy Intern for NYC Public Advocate Jumaane Williams. In this role, she helped develop his legislative agenda around criminal justice reform and affordable housing.
