Hey HRWG-ers <3

Good morning to all of you still fighting the good fight.

And a belated Indigenous Peoples Day (which due to inherently flawed reasoning is attributed in many U.S. states to recognize the colonizer Christopher Columbus). How did you recognize this day? We would love to hear about it. A couple of your board members were out yesterday, skipping class to participate in a land commemoration for the Lenape people/protest of the continued false entitled narrative of U.S. history and identity seeped in perpetuation of white supremacy, settler colonialism, and inequality- as if the U.S. was not built on genocide and slavery.

In other news, Midterms are real. You will get through this. Try to sleep, stay hydrated- and look out for the flu shot clinic. Take a moment to enjoy this fall glow while it lasts.

We are feeling the midterm crunch too, but will keep doing what we can to make space for some event planning.

For some inspo to carry us through:

As always, yours in love, rights, & solidarity

What We’re Reading

"We should not be parties to myth-making that revises history to explicitly or implicitly glorify conquest, enslavement, and persecution. It is long past time to set the record straight."
