ROPES, a young NGO that conducts people-to-people programs for emerging leaders in Israel/Palestine and across the Arab world, is looking for qualified and passionate student interns to join its summer team in various roles involving skills such as program management, diplomatic relations, fundraising, social-media management, and podcast production. ROPES has previously hosted summer interns from Princeton SPIA, the Harvard Kennedy School, Georgetown SFS, NYU Wagner, and Columbia SIPA. The organization, led by former Knesset member Ksenia Svetlova, has an alumni network of nearly 200 emerging leaders from Israel/Palestine and 15 other countries across the Middle East and North Africa. It has received government funding from the U.S. State Department, the European Union, and the UAE government. Upcoming ROPES programs include a delegation of Arab emerging leaders to Israel and the West Bank, an education program (inspired by the E.U. Eramsus Program) for Arab and Israeli graduate students, and an economic initiative ("Sharq Tank") to spotlight young Palestinian and Arab-Israeli entrepreneurs.
