Michelle Ann Meza's profile photo

Michelle Ann Meza

Michelle is a 2nd year MPA student pursuing a dual specialization in Technology, Media and Communications, and Management. She is the current President of the Latin American Student Association (LASA) at SIPA for the 2018-2019 term. At SIPA, she has worked as Research Assistant on media and journalism affairs, and currently performs as an intern at Professor Joseph E. Stiglitz Office. This semester, Michelle also assists as a reader of the Social Value Investing class centered on cross-sector partnerships, management framework, which she foresees to implement to improve Peru’s public education system.

Before SIPA, she worked for the Ministry of Education of Peru as coordinator of a nationwide school monitoring system and as political advisor on decentralization affairs focused on building and strengthening relationships between central, regional and local education governments. She has worked as education consultant for UNESCO and most recently interned with the World Bank country office in Freetown, Sierra Leone, on a program to boost the national teaching workforce. Michelle is a former TED speaker on quality education and she is an advocate on the role citizens should play to ensure this right.
