*For all internships and full-time civil and foreign service positions you must be a U.S. citizen, but there are also foreign service national and contractor positions that have different requirements, some open to international candidates.

Spending less than one-half of 1 percent of the federal budget, USAID works in over 100 countries to: promote broadly shared economic prosperity; strengthen democracy and good governance; improve global health, food security, environmental sustainability and education; help societies prevent and recover from conflicts; and provide humanitarian assistance in the wake of natural and man-made disasters. USAID is the lead U.S. Government agency that works to end extreme global poverty and enable resilient, democratic societies to realize their potential.

Additional Information:
 
  • Students must bring two forms of ID, including one government-issued photo ID, the other can be a school ID; if you are an international student please bring your passport.
  • Dress Code - Business Formal. 
  • Students should arrive 15 minutes prior to the visit to allow time for security check-in.
Directions:

Metro to Metro Center (Red Line) or Federal Triangle (Blue/Orange/Sliver Lines) are close to the USAID’s headquarters. Enter the Ronald Reagan Building (RRB) using the 14th Street entrance. After passing through RRB security, make your way to the USAID lobby to check in with security.
