Professor Frederic de Mariz, PhD is adjunct professor of financial innovation and impact investing at Columbia University, SIPA. He is also Executive Director and head of the Financial Institutions Group and ESG for Latin America at UBS. He is a member of the diversity and inclusion group at UBS. He is the co-author of two books on impact investing and is currently writing a book on finance with purpose. Frederic graduated from ESSEC (MBA), Sciences Po (MPA), Columbia University (MIA), and completed his PhD in finance at University of Sao Paulo. He has published a number of academic articles, is a member of the Brazilian Banking Association, and was an advisor to several microfinance institutions in Brazil.
