Building Your Career Post-SIPA: From International Organizations to Entrepreneurship in the Energy Transition

Drawing from her journey across international organizations in the U.S. and Brazil, and now leading a non-profit to promote female leadership in the energy transition, Eduarda will share some of the lessons (both successes and mistakes) that have shaped her trajectory. She’ll talk about how to find your niche in a competitive field, turn the SIPA experience into opportunities beyond the classroom, build relationships that open doors, navigate the challenges of launching an international career in the U.S., and ultimately create your own path when the traditional career ladder no longer feels like the right fit.

Eduarda Zoghbi is a Climate and Energy Specialist at the Climate Investment Funds and Founder of MPower Brasil, a non-profit promoting female leadership in the Brazilian energy sector. With over a decade of experience in international climate cooperation, Eduarda has been recognized Brazil Forbes Under 30, Reuters Future Leaders in Energy and World Energy Council FEL-100. Additionally, she is a Board Member at Student Energy and Fellow of the Atlantic Council's Women Leaders in Energy program. Her work has been distinguished internationally with awards, including GWEC’s REvolutionaries, AMP’s Global Youth Visionary, and NAAEE 30 Under 30. Eduarda holds an MPA in Energy and Environment from SIPA | Columbia University and a bachelor’s in political science from the University of Brasilia.
