The student teams in SIPA’s Workshop in Sustainable Development Practice (the EPD Workshop) have been working this year on cutting-edge projects with seventeen clients in close to twenty countries.  Notably, four of the projects involve SIPA alumni as clients, and six faculty advisors (as well as the workshop director) are alumni.  This year’s projects support AI and other innovations in sanitation and renewable energy, sustainable agriculture and rural development, financial inclusion, education, gender and disability inclusion, public sector reform and citizen engagement, and humanitarian assistance. On May 1 and May 2, the teams will present highlights of their work in a hybrid conference hosted by SIPA.

Workshop clients, faculty advisors, members of the Columbia/SIPA community, SIPA alumni and the general public are warmly invited and encouraged to join any sessions of interest.

This event will be hosted in person (for CUID holders) and online. Registration is required to receive a Zoom link.

This year's workshop clients include Aegea, Booz Allen Hamilton, Enabling Qapital, Fundación Corona, International Fund for Agricultural Development, Instiglio, Jordan INGO Forum, Mandulis Energy, Ministry of Public Service of The Gambia, Mobility Worldwide, One Acre Fund, United Nations Capital Development Fund, United Nations Development Programme’s Accelerator Labs and Crisis Bureau, UN Resident Coordinator’s Office in Mongolia, UN Women, and World Food Programme’s Regional Centre of Excellence against Hunger and Malnutrition.

The final presentation schedule will be posted by mid-April.
