Graduate school is the perfect time to publish your first professional article, but getting started can be an intimidating and esoteric process. In partnership with SIPA Women in Peace and Security (WIPS) and the student-founded, security-focused publication It Was Always Burning (IWAB), the ICR Specialization will be hosting an intimate writing workshop at which a select number of students will have the opportunity to hear firsthand from successful professionals in international security and conflict resolution about their process -- from developing an article idea to publication -- as well as to pitch their own ideas for articles. All registrants should prepare 2-3 article ideas for discussion. All SIPA students are welcome to register, but with limited space preference will be given to women, BIPOC, and other students from underrepresented minorities who have never published professionally.
This event will be held in person on campus and not recorded; food will be served.

MENTORS:
Delaney Simon, International Crisis Group (and SIPA Class of '13)
Gretchen Baldwin, International Peace Institute (and SIPA Class of '18)
