Join Columbia SIPA’s Institute of Global Politics (IGP) for a timely discussion of the challenges facing US cities and a policy agenda for New York City’s next mayor with leading voices from government, academia, and civil society. This two-part program will first examine the impact of federal budget cuts on cities. A second panel will then look ahead to the policy agenda for the next mayor of New York City, exploring the fiscal impact of the federal budget cuts and policies that can address the urgent problem of affordability, including the cost of childcare, food insecurity, and affordable housing.
