In this IO/UNS Career Talk, Ambassador Lu shares his insights into international and national careers related to international organizations.

Ambassador Lu represents the U.S. in negotiations involving the UN's administration and financing of its programs and UN reform issues more broadly. As the second Asian American in history to become a deputy secretary of any cabinet department, Ambassador Lu has had an illustrious career of working in all three branches of the U.S. federal government, including as the U.S. Deputy Secretary of Labor and the White House Cabinet Secretary and Assistant to President Obama.
