Join us for a lecture by historian and journalist Andrew Paxman, professor of history at the Center for Research & Teaching in Economics (CIDE) in Mexico and author of Mexican Watchdogs: The Rise of a Critical Press since the 1980s.

He examines how Mexican journalists have faced threats from organized crime, political co-option, and state campaigns to discredit critical voices, and how they continue to defend press freedom in a challenging democratic landscape.

Food will be provided.
