Recent turbulence on college campuses has complicated the relationship between student journalists and their sources. Fearing repercussions from both university administrations and the federal government, students are increasingly hesitant to speak to media on the record. As a result, student journalists find themselves having to juggle upholding journalistic norms of source attribution and accountability with protecting their sources.

Join Journalism School doctoral researcher Adelina Yankova in a conversation about how student journalists are navigating requests for anonymity, working to combat censorship, and building trust with their audiences.
