In this practical, interactive session, conflict management expert Prof. Seth Freeman shares a simple, field-tested way to have an excellent conversation about any 'hot topic' that both you and your conversation partner will enjoy. Freeman's students from around the world have used the method to talk with friends and family about the most controversial subjects. They usually report, "we both felt it was the best conversation we'd had and want to do more." So it's also great way to open up conversation about an issue you care about in a relaxed, warm, positive way.
Presenter Bio:
Seth Freeman is an award-winning professor who teaches negotiation & conflict resolution at SIPA, at NYU Stern School of Business, and at other programs around the world. He’s also a sought-after trainer and speaker who works with top corporations, United Nations diplomats, law firms, churches, parachurch organizations, and leading non-profits. His essays and interviews have appeared in the New York Times, the Washington Post, Time magazine, and other major media outlets.

+Gain a simple field-tested tool- Paraphrase, Praise, Probe- they can use to dialogue enjoyably
+Gain another simple field-tested tool- the Golden Minute- when one suggests discussion rules.
+Practice using the tool in a safe setting.
