The Filmmaking for Policy Change Club aims to educate students on the power and uses of visual storytelling within the social impact and policy realms. Students will gain exposure to different storytelling tactics, technical filmmaking skills and industry professionals.
Members will gain advanced notice of events and access to filmmaking professionals and resources at Columbia and beyond.
Events will include screenings, discussions and technical workshops around the intersection of visual storytelling and social impact/policy topics.
We have access to a small film studio via the Picker Center, a wide network of professional contacts within New York City and connections to the broader film/journalism community at Columbia.
Our board and club membership is committed to fostering connections between students, faculty and professionals who are interested in visual storytelling.
