[Neatric Norwood — MOIA, Policy and Research Advisor]
Neatric Norwood is currently a Policy and Research Advisor at the NYC Mayor’s Office of Immigrant Affairs. As a recent graduate of Columbia SIPA, where he concentrated in human rights and international conflict resolution, Neatric worked at the International Development Law Organization Mission to the UN, focusing on enhancing advocacy for the rule of law and governance within the global system. Neatric’s work in the global space is further underlined as a Graduate Consultant for UN OCHA Lebanon, where he analyzed humanitarian aid strategies and other underlying challenges within Lebanon as well as his time at Agence Française de Développement in Paris, where he focused on vulnerabilities affecting development projects in East Africa. Prior to his time at Columbia, Neatric worked as the Fellowships and Leadership Development program coordinator for the Center for Public Leadership at Harvard University. Neatric began his public service career working in Washington, D.C. as a congressional staffer on Capitol Hill following his time as an intern in the Mayor’s Office of Little Rock, Arkansas. Neatric received his B.A. in International Relations from Tufts University and Master of International Affairs from Columbia University. Neatric’s academic experience includes a year studying abroad at Royal Holloway, University of London.

[Visala Annamalai — Climate Resilience for All, Program Consultant]
Visala is a communications and development professional with experience in addressing critical issues at the intersection of human rights, climate, human mobility, and development. She brings a wealth of experience in project management, stakeholder engagement, and research for international organizations and nonprofits including UN Agencies such as the International Organization for Migration, and the International Labour Organization. Most recently, she developed the Tuvalu Labour Migrants Reintegration Strategy 2022, looking at climate resilience, gender, and sustainability in the Pacific Islands' context. She holds an MPA from Columbia University’s School of International and Public Affairs in the United States, an MA in human rights and democratization from Mahidol University in Thailand, and a double degree in law from the Tamil Nadu National Law University in India.
