Join the Latin American Student Association (LASA) for an afternoon of remembrance, creativity, and community as we celebrate Día de los Muertos, a cherished Mexican tradition honoring the lives and memories of loved ones who have passed away.
Stop by our community ofrenda and help us build a traditional altar. You’re welcome to bring a photo of someone you would like to honor, contribute to the display, or simply learn about the meaning behind its elements and how families carry this tradition across generations.
If you’d prefer not to print a photo yourself, you can submit it through this form (https://forms.gle/qenjZAqqPgGJMoca7), and we’ll print it and place it on the ofrenda for you. We welcome photos honoring family members, friends, beloved pets, and anyone whose memory holds a special place in your heart. You’re welcome to share as much or as little of their story as you feel comfortable.
Get creative with calaverita painting! Decorate your own colorful skull and take home a little piece of the celebration.
Whether you grew up celebrating Día de los Muertos or are discovering it for the first time, everyone is welcome. Come connect, share memories, and celebrate the people and companions who remain close to our hearts.
Date: Thursday, October 29
Time: 12:00–3:00 PM
Drop by anytime during the event, we’d love to see you!
