Virtual Info Session Today 1pm

Hello all!

We hope the midterm wave has been survived, and that we can all make it through the next several weeks to the holiday break unscathed. We have a couple of items for your radar in the meantime. We have a virtual info session at 1pm ET today, and nominations to join our board are due in on Friday at 11:59pm ET. We are also preparing for an on-campus Diwali celebration on Friday, November 5.

Virtual Information Session

HAPPENING TODAY: Learn more and ask questions about Diwali, joining the board, and planning the slate of events for the year ahead. We will hop on Zoom for a concise virtual information session on Wednesday, October 27, at 1:00 p.m. ET. You may register on CampusGroups, and attend via this Zoom link.

Happening Soon! All board positions for the academic year are open, which includes president, vice president, communications chair, events chair and general secretary, and slots for new positions to be created.

To view more information and nominate yourself, please complete this form by this Friday, October 29. All valid nominees can present their platform for active members to vote on. We hope this can be done expediently so SAA's program of work can commence in earnest hastily.

We are looking forward to bringing you a full slate of programs, including speaker discussions and book talks, professional development events co-sponsored with the Career Advancement Center, celebrations of Diwali and Holi, and co-development of a full-day conference with students from the Business School.
 

Diwali

We are planning for an on-campus Diwali celebration to be held on Friday, November 5, at 8pm. This would include food, beverages, and music. Based on feasibility, certain details may change, but please register your interest at this Google Form if you have not already. We welcome any help and input on planning (please send an email or reach out directly) and are happy to answer any questions.
