Details

Join the SIPA Diversity Community for a film of DOLORES, which details the life of Dolores Huerta, one of the most important, yet least known, activists in American history. An equal partner in co-founding the first farm workers unions with Cesar Chavez, her enormous contributions have gone largely unrecognized. Dolores tirelessly led the fight for racial and labor justice alongside Chavez, becoming one of the most defiant feminists of the twentieth century. We'll open the film with a short conversation on intersectionality, and end the film with a peer-facilitated dialogue about identity, history, and activism. SIPA Student Leaders: this film fulfills the Community Citizenship Inclusion and Belonging Requirement.

The inclusive film series is an opportunity to watch and discuss a film that addresses diversity and inclusion at SIPA or within international and public affairs.
