Hey Seeples!
One of the biggest questions we get day-to-day from student groups and new students alike is "How do I reserve space for my [insert event here] at Columbia University?" Well, the answer is.... it's complicated! There is no one system to reserve space around Columbia. For that reason, we've broken down SIPA's space reservation system in three parts depending on where you want to host your event or group. Please plan to rent your space at least two weeks in advance (and preferably longer!) to allow for suitable processing time and follow all additional guidelines and requirements when planning events on campus. If you are a non-student group who wants to reserve cafe, conference or tent spaces for a larger event, please partner with a student group, concentration, or specialization so that we can allocate funding for cleaning fees and ensure that you are able to reserve a space. Thank you!
IAB Classrooms and Lehman Library
Need a classroom in the International Affairs Building for a review session, conference, make-up class, or student group meeting? Both one-time and recurring reservations can be made at the room request form!
If you would prefer to rent one of the study or presentation spaces in the Lehman Library on the 3rd floor, fill out this form with your UNI to reserve a spot!
If you need a more advanced reservation than these forms allow or don't recieve a response in 5 business days, email Andrew Johnson at asj2124@columbia.edu.
IAB Event Space
Want to host an event with a larger audience and a great view? What about a space for a dinner or student party? Renting the Kellogg Center on the 15th floor or Publique Cafe on the 6th floor goes through SIPASA and Building Management.
These options are open to registered student groups only. Once you have an event budget approved, fill out our Publique Room Reservation Request form. If you would like to reserve the 15th floor, email sipasa@columbia.edu with the following information:
