Lisa Sachs is Director of the Columbia Center on Sustainable Investment (CCSI), an applied research Center that is jointly housed at the law school and climate school. CCSI works to identify and promote policy and investment frameworks that will deliver real progress against the Sustainable Development Goals and climate imperatives. The Center’s work considers how best to reform key aspects of the international legal architecture around investment law, identifies the right levers to mobilize trillions of dollars in transformative new investment, and how to drive growth and climate progress in a just and rights-respecting way. Lisa will discuss CCSI’s work as well as her perspective on the most exciting and important career pathways in climate and sustainable development finance. Her talk will be followed by a robust Q+A period.
