This panel will examine how artificial intelligence is reshaping the conditions under which democratic life takes place. As AI becomes more deeply embedded in the systems through which people encounter information, form political judgments, and relate to public institutions, the question is no longer simply what these technologies can do, but who governs them, in whose interests, and with what consequences for democratic accountability.

The event will feature a keynote address by United Nations Under-Secretary-General for Digital and Emerging Technologies Amandeep Singh Gill, followed by a panel discussion with the USG, Maria Ressa and Malika Saada Saar, mediated by Karen Kornbluh.
