EPD Student Spotlight: Indri Ariyani

Indri’s interest in and passion for diplomacy, security affairs, international law, and energy transition have been shaped by her extensive experience as a diplomat for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Indonesia. In her role, she has coordinated numerous diplomatic initiatives, as well as state and high-level visits. Her work has contributed to the formation of numerous bilateral agreements across a range of sectors, including economic, political, social, and cultural spheres. A key aspect of Indri’s work involves expanding the global presence of Indonesian businesses. She monitors market trends and identifies commercial opportunities to facilitate Indonesian companies to thrive in European markets. As a Foreign Service Officer, Indri has also served as an official interpreter for the Indonesian Foreign Minister and has been involved in key international events, including the G20 Leaders' Summit in Bali. More recently, she was assigned to participate in the Summit of the Future and the 79th session of the UN General Assembly in New York. In addition to her diplomatic responsibilities, Indri serves as the Co-President of the Southeast Asia Student Association at SIPA, where she fosters awareness of regional issues and encourages collaboration among students with an interest in Southeast Asia. Indri is a curious explorer who loves discovering new cultures and places. Whether she’s traveling to far-off lands, soaking up history in museums, or hunting for quirky art galleries, she believes every adventure is a chance to add a splash of fun to her journey! You can connect with Indri on LinkedIn (https://www.linkedin.com/in/indriariyani/) or follow her on Instagram at @indriariyani
