Remember the thanksgiving myth told in the U.S. is a lie! This country, as many settler-colonial nations, was founded on genocide and systematic forced displacement. 

• One way to recognize this is through a land acknowledgement: Find some resources on how to offer a meaningful land acknowledgement here and here. 
• For those staying in New York- consider visiting some Lenape sites or here
• Imagine what New York looked like before colonization with this map
