Event Interest Survey: 2024 Global Elections
Two billion voters in over 60 countries will be heading to the polls (or have already done so) for national elections in 2024. Is your country one of them? We'd like to hear from you! We're gauging student interest for a potential event about global elections in hopes of giving you the opportunity to talk about issues important to you, and discussing the wide ranging effects that elections have both domestically and internationally.   • Societal Costs of Oil and Gas Production

A legacy of costs from oil and gas production will remain long after achieving a net-zero future. The Center on Global Energy Policy (CGEP) at Columbia University's School of International and Public Affairs will host Professor Lucija Muehlenbachs, CGEP visiting faculty member, associate professor of economics at the University of Calgary, and a university fellow at Resources for the Future, for a fireside chat focused on some of these burdens, such as methane emissions and well-site cleanup, as well as recent policy developments.

Internship Opportunity

Filha do Sol (www.filhadosol.org) - Communications Intern
Filha do Sol uplifts women-led climate initiatives to restore climate justice and regenerate tropical nature. The organization is led by three women from the Northeast of Brazil who share a vision for climate justice that focuses on reframing global climate action through the lens of decolonized climate leadership and gender empowerment. Utilizing their position as self-led, frontline community members with unique access to a global network, they strive to connect people of marginalized genders across the Tropics and with their international partners.
Filha do Sol is seeking a highly motivated and creative Communications Intern to join our dynamic team. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the field of communications within the non-profit sector. The ideal candidate will have a passion for storytelling, excellent writing skills, and a strong understanding of various communication channels.
The communications specialist will work remotely during the spring semester, with the internship running 10 weeks from Monday, March 4, 2024, through Friday, May 10, 2024. 
Note: While this internship is unpaid, we are committed to providing a valuable learning experience and are open to working with educational institutions to facilitate academic credit or to source outside funding

Filha do Sol is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Grant Writing Intern to join our team and gain valuable experience in the nonprofit sector. This unpaid internship is an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to develop their grant writing skills as well as contribute to intersectional environmental work.
