Welcome to GPWG!

Thank you so much for coming and chatting with us at SIPAfest yesterday and wanting to engage in the issues of gender and policy. Each week we will be sending out a newsletter with information about the events we are sponsoring, opportunities from career services related to this field, and other events happening on campus that could be of interest to you.  While we already have some insightful and exciting events and demonstrations planned, we always want your input! If you have any ideas of an event or theme of an event you would like to see let us know!

Meet the Board!

We are the board! We are super grateful to be able to represent this group and want to hear from you! Please feel free to contact any of us with any questions, concerns or event ideas!

SAVE THE DATE: General Body Meeting

On Thursday October 3rd from 1-2 in room 407, we will be having our General Body Meeting, where we welcome and meet the new members, eat a DELICIOUS lunch (GPWG is known for having the best food), and discuss events we are planning for the semester.

It is a fun and chill way to meet people, have a good conversation, and create momentum for a great semester!

check out the podcast, Bitter Brown Femmes

"Two Bitter Brown Femmes aim to dismantle -isms while running their mouths. Coming at you with critique and commentary of social justice, pop culture, and Latinx/Xicanx issues/cultura from a comedic lens."

Career Resources!

Civic Spirit Express is a great organization working to increase the power of women change makers in NYC. They have lots of great events and workshops!

Office of Career Resources is launching specific resources focused on gender issues. We will be sharing a few each week - so stay tuned!

  1.  In Her Sight blog for professional women
  2. American Association of University Women resources, negotiation programs/workshops at SIPA
Thanks for all the great ideas and have a great week!
