HRHP Weekly Newsletter

Dear HRHPers,

This email is being sent from occupied Lenni-Lenape territory.  We acknowledge that Columbia occupies stolen land and was built upon, and continues to benefit from, a white supremist, settler-colonial legacy. We acknowledge that the Lenape people are alive, displaced, and the struggle to protect their rights and culture continues. We acknowledge that indigenous communities have been gravely affected by COVID-19.

  • Look out for forthcoming information on Degree Audits in Stellic and Spring 2021 courses!
  • Please join us for the professional development event with alumni Daniel Berezowsky.
  • We challenge you this week to take a moment to recognize what indigenous legacies relate to the land where you currently inhabit. More information on land acknowledgements can be found here and here. If you are near campus, find the plaque dedicated to the Lenape people (hint: it's near John Jay).
We wish you all a restful and healthy Thanksgiving later this week, wherever you might be. We are grateful to have made it this far together in 2020.

Very best,
Team HRHP
