Subject: Final Reminders from SIPA!

Dear First_Name,

Greetings from your SIPA Peer Advisors!

SIPA Peer Advisors (PAs) are in training now, learning about all the resources, policies, and procedures necessary to support your orientation to SIPA and to lead your SEEPLES groups next week. We can’t wait to meet you!

On August 22, Dean Yarhi-Milo shared an important message regarding safety and security in the International Affairs Building, where SIPA is located along with a number of academic departments, institutes, and resources available to the broader University community. Please take a moment to read the message

A Few Important Registration Reminders:

Registration for new students begins on Tuesday, August 27 at 1 p.m. ET. The first two weeks of the semester are referred to as the add/drop period. The last day of registration will be Friday, September 13. Before you register, it is essential that you read the information below:

Registration Times:
Please confirm your registration appointment times posted on Student Services Online (SSOL). If you do not have registration appointments or the dates posted are incorrect, please notify your academic/program advisor.

Student Account Holds:
Check your SSOL account under the “HOLD” tab to ensure that there are no registration holds. If you have a hold, you will not be able to register until it is resolved. Only the department responsible for placing the hold can remove it, so contact them directly.

If you did not receive an email this week with important details for orientation such as your Seeples group and check-in location, please contact SIPA_OSA@sipa.columbia.edu.

In case you want to review any of the previous “Starting at SIPA” weekly emails, you can find them all on CampusGroups
