Book Talk: Future Histories: What Ada Lovelace, Tom Paine, and the Paris Commune Teach Us About Digital Technology
Lizzie O’Shea’s book, Future Histories: What Ada Lovelace, Tom Paine, and the Paris Commune Can Teach Us about Digital Technology, brings together the lessons of radical politics and activism from our pre-digital past and invites to reflect on the production and consumption of digital realities. The book was recently shortlisted for the Premier's Literary Award.
Speaker: Lawyer and broadcaster Lizzie O'Shea has received the Davis Projects for Peace Prize. Her writing has appeared in The New York Times and The Guardian, among others. She is also a founder and board member of Digital Rights Watch, which advocates for human rights online.
