Subject: Openings for first-years on EPD workshop teams (expressions of interest due Nov. 16)

Dear first-year students,

We have just assigned second-year students to our EPD workshop teams, and have some openings for 1-2 students on some teams.

(The EPD workshop is a required part of the EPD curriculum, and also satisfies the capstone requirement for MIA and MPA students. The workshop is a 3-credit spring semester course, although the teams will start work on their projects over the next few weeks.  This year, we expect that most workshop students will be able to travel to their team’s study country either over the winter break (typically after New Years and before the start of spring classes) or over spring break (mid-March).

If you are interested in joining any of the following workshop projects, please send your resume or CV to me (at em419@columbia.edu) by 5 pm on Wednesday, Nov. 16, and indicate which project(s) you would like to join, and whether you have any travel constraints in the first half of January or in the week of March 13.  Please also let me know if you already applied for any capstone projects (either in their first or second round of applications) – we will not interfere with prior placements on a capstone team.
