Resource Premiere: VMOCK RESUME REVIEW
We are pleased to announce the official launch of VMock, a resume review tool that utilizes artificial intelligence to provide critical critique of the resume’s impact, presentation, and competencies. This iteration of the tool was developed specifically for SIPA in close collaboration with the Office of Career Services and through the analysis of historical employment data. VMock was piloted to students enrolled in the spring 2020 Professional Development course, and received excellent feedback from both students and instructors. We are thrilled to now make it available to all current SIPA students, as a complement to one-on-one advisement.
Once you have uploaded a PDF version of your latest resume, VMock will issue your resume a score between 0-100 and place it in either the Red Zone – Yellow Zone – or Green Zone. You will also notice that VMock provides detailed feedback and suggestions on items like action oriented language, overused words, formatting, and how well your resume demonstrates essential competencies for SIPA graduates (i.e. analytical skills, communication, leadership, teamwork, and initiative). Your ultimate goal is to incorporate VMock feedback to reach the Green Zone!
Current students may log into VMock using their UNI and password at: http://www.vmock.com/sipacolumbia. Note: Each student has a maximum of 10 resume uploads per year.
