Meet with a Career Adviser!
Students and alumni may schedule up to three 45-minute appointments with career advisers each semester (in addition to three appointments with a SIPA Alum Career Coach). Log on to SIPA Connect to make an appointment or join us for a 15-minute visit during drop-in hours, Monday-Thursday 1-2pm and 4-5pm. Most drop-ins will be in-person, room 420 IAB. If a meeting is on Zoom, students will be notified when they sign-in. Individuals must sign-in for an appointment. The sign-up form will be at the front desk of the CAC office at the beginning of each drop-in hour.
Alumni-Student Public and Non-Profit Sector Career Night
The Career Advancement Center and the Office of Alumni Relations invite you to Alumni-Student Public and Non-Profit Sector Career Night on Thursday, February 22, 2024, from 6:00 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. on the 15th floor of SIPA.
Expand your network with SIPA alumni volunteers and learn about different public and non-profit sector careers. SIPA alumni have volunteered to share their professional and personal experiences. They will be situated at tables representing the areas below. Students will have the opportunity to rotate to the tables of their choice.

CPT Information Sessions
We will be hosting a series of CPT Information Sessions to provide an overview of CPT policies, eligibility criteria, and the application process. Our upcoming session is listed below. International students on F-1 visas who are interested in pursuing CPT for internships are encouraged to attend.

The Atlantic Council seeks SIPA applicants to its Bretton Woods 2.0 Fellowship, running from April 2024 to November 2024. Fellows will work to identify gaps and challenges in the architecture of global economic governance, and their research will culminate in a series of policy memos and reports that will be published by the Atlantic Council. Interested candidates can reach out to Cullen to have their application highlighted to the team.
The World Economic Forum (WEF) seeks SIPA applicants to two of its Early Career Programme openings - one in the Centre for Urban Transformation and one on the Sustainable Finance team. These are full-time, six month positions - please note that WEF requires a start date for these positions no later than April 29, 2024. Interested candidates can reach out to Cullen to have their application highlighted to the team.
SEEK, a social impact consulting group, welcomes SIPA applicants to a number of roles, including a Senior Project Manager, Global Health opening in Berlin. This position will lead project teams as a trusted advisor to senior clients within leading organizations in the Global Health space – including major UN organizations, product-development partnerships, multilateral financing institutions, foundations, NGOs and private sector organizations. Interested candidates can reach out to Cullen to have their application highlighted to an alum on the team.
The OECD Internship Programme has been designed to bring highly qualified and motivated students with diverse backgrounds into the Organisation to work on projects linked to the Strategic Orientations of the Secretary-General. Its main goal is to give to successful candidates an opportunity to improve their analytical and technical skills as well as the experience to work in a truly international environment.
SIPA is a partner school for the OECD Internship Programme. Each partner school administers their own selection process and forwards their selections to the OECD. Please do not apply directly through the OECD website. If you are selected you will receive further application instructions. Interested students must submit all of the required materials ONLY THROUGH SIPA Connect by Monday, February 19, 2024.

Spring Internship Paperwork Reminder
For students who are registered in SPRING 2024 SIPA U9013 courses and completed spring internships, your Internship Reports and Supervisor Evaluation Surveys are due by April 15.
Please be on the lookout for your SIPA U9013 CourseWorks announcements or messages sent directly by the Director.
If you are navigating how many internship credits to register for please check in with the CAC, to ensure it aligns with your career goals, and program.
Until requirements are processed, they may reflect as ‘CP’ (credit pending).Completed courses will be updated with a ‘P’ (Passing) grade.
Please allow until the end of the semester for the internship credit to be updated in SSOL and Stellic.

Are you a nonprofit, for-profit, or hybrid early-stage social or environmental venture with a Columbia affiliation? Apply by March 1 for a chance to receive a seed grant of up to $25K!
This fundprovides seed grants of up to $25K to nonprofit, for-profit, and hybrid early-stage social and environmental ventures. Ventures must be led by Columbia University students, alumni, faculty or researchers, or be advised and have significant involvement by Columbia University faculty or researchers. Tamer Fund seed grants will be made to approximately seven ventures each year. APPLY BY MARCH 1
APSIA WhatsApp Group for Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC) Students
The Association of Professional Schools of International Affairs (APSIA) invites BIPOC students to join their WhatsApp group to support one another while navigating academic and professional environments.
