Reviews and Tips
- One of my favorite energy electives I took because of how it was entirely discussion based. The professor is super knowledgeable about all things Russia, energy security, natural gas, and oil. Beyond that, the class is composed of not just SIPA students, which makes conversations very nuanced. It was interesting to discuss and hear of energy topics from a more interdisciplinary perspective, which the class cultivates. The assignments were very interesting and current. I personally learned a lot about Eastern Europe and Russia alongside the natural gas and oil market, which was very enriching. It is a great class that is more analytical than practical compared to other SIPA classes, which I enjoyed a lot. Helpful tips: Make sure to actively participate and talk to Professor Udensiva after class as participation makes up a large portion of the grade, and she is great to talk to and learn from.
